The stretch leveling process is a method in which the material is stretched beyond its yield point to equalize the stresses providing a product with superior flatness. This process can eliminate shape defects such as edgewave, center buckle, quarter buckle, camber, crossbow, mandrel or coil breaks, some types of chatter, herringbone/mill chop, and twist. The result is material ideal for meeting fabricators’ increased demands for flatness required by laser and plasma cutting, stamping, punching, forming, and other manufacturing processes. Stretch leveling can also restore to perfection coils that would otherwise end up as scrap metal or secondary.

Leveltek has proven success with stretch leveling the following substrates:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Titanium
  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Nickel Alloys
  • High Temp Alloys
  • Galvanized & Coated Steel
  • Carbon Steel
  • Treadplate

Our patented non-marking grips are ideal for special surfaces special surfaces that are:

  • Bright Annealed
  • Polished/Buffed
  • Painted/Coated
  • Patterned/Embossed
  • Plated/Clad
  • Perforated
